The objective of IBS Cyprus within the banking training sector is the procurement for the market of Cyprus in both Greek and English of the specialized and internationally recognized professional training programs of the American Bankers Association (ABA) through its subsidiary American Institute of Banking (AIB) These programs have been running in the USA and internationally for more than the last 100 years.
The Program is addresses the needs of bank employees pursuing professional development, to high school graduates and broadly to everyone searching professional establishment within the banking sector.
Program Registration
The programs are being offered in all of the following cities provided sufficient enrollment:

Programs Requirements
The program is broadly designed to address the needs of individuals with professional experience in the banking sector. A high-school certificate is the minimum requirement for admission. No specialized training background is required for admission.
Proficiency in the English language is desirable.
Transfer Credits
The transfer of credits conferred by accredited programs and subsequent waiving of specific course requirements is possible.
Financial Obligations
Tuition is imposed on the attendance of all courses leading to Certificate/ Diploma. Tuition is defined on a per hour course basis prior to enrollment and covers the entire course work offered within the academic year.
The tuition per course covers all of the following:
Registration fees to ABA for the credit hours Book or books and notes Training and assessment Diplomas, Certificates First examination
Program Structure
The programs offered are identical to those offered by the ABA/AIB. The program is offered in two course cycles, one in each of the two semesters of the academic year:
Fall Cycle (Fall Semester) - September to January
Spring Cycle (Spring semester) – February to June
In each course cycle a certain number of courses are offered.
Basic Characteristics
Student may register for a maximum of 6.5 credits per cycle corresponding to two major courses of three (3) credits and a secondary course of 0.5 credit.
The courses are delivered and evaluated mainly in Greek. If there are a sufficient number of students, distinct classes for delivery of specific courses in English as well may be facilitated.
In each course, when compliance to local references and conditions is deemed necessary, a specialized text book prepared by ABA is provided either in Greek or English (only for the English sessions). Otherwise, external text books approved or proposed by ABA are provided.
The training is delivered in the form of lectures/seminars calling for the student's active participation.
The courses are mainly offered in the afternoon hours, 1-3 times per week on consecutive weeks.
